The composition consists of instruments like triangles or a tambour and manipulated fieldrecordings, which the artist found both in her archive as well as captured in the space around her at the time of working on the piece. In this way, it became an amalgamation of different kinds of times and spaces, a collection of what is simultaneously lost and preserved, an abstract inventory of missed calls, auditory hallucinations or past sounds of nature.
In Tension There Is A Bliss was composed for the Black Room project at the Kolonia Artystów in Gdańsk (Poland) where it was presented in a black space, with soundproofed walls, on a quadraphonic audial system adapted to give the viewer a sense of being in the sound.
